It's been a while since we've posted, we've been busy working
on the new Louis - Night Salad.
Here's
a couple of events we're going to be doing at the National Library
of Scotland this spring, as part of their series of events on graphic novels:
Talk/Panel Session: 'In conversation with metaphrog'.
Chaired by Lisa Otty, Graduate School of Literatures, Languages and Cultures, University of Edinburgh.
When: Wednesday April 23 -
7pm.

National
Library of Scotland, George IV Bridge, Edinburgh EH1 1EW.

Workshop:
'Create your own comics' (for
ages 8-12, places are limited).
When: Friday May 23 - 2.30 pm.

These events are held in conjuction with the exhibition Local Heroes - The Art of the Graphic Novel which will take place at the National Library of Scotland from April 4th until June 1st 2008.
Alan Grant and Cam Kennedy, Frank Quitely, Gary Erskine, David Donaldson, and Dr Mel Gibson will also be doing talks, while curator John Birch will give a guided tour of the exhibition. Go to the link above for more detail.

Here's
a few pics from our recent trip to SPX. We had a fantastic time
there, everyone made us feel extremely welcome. Many thanks again
to the Scottish Arts Council who made the trip possible.

Adhouse
were our neighbours at the show and proved to be great ones at
that! Thanks Chris for the roots music cds!!

John

booth in front of us, but often popped up to our table for highly
enjoyable chats.

part of the Six Cities Design Festival and the
'Biff! Bam!! Crikey!!!: Comics As Design and Entertainment' conference,
metaphrog will be presenting their work and talking about the
creative process applied to graphic novels.

Tower Building, University of Dundee, UK.
The
Festival will celebrate the history of comics in Dundee and will
celebrate the 70th anniversary of DC Thomson's The Dandy,
as well as exploring comics as art, popular culture and design.
With stalls, exhibitions, and talks on comics by leading comics
scholars and historians, including Paul Gravett, Roger Sabin,
Chris Murray and more.

a comic commissioned for the Festival to highlight Dundee's visual
storytelling strengths and position within comic realms.

based creators spanning from Electric Soup, including work by
